DUPONT D57

Really unmissable and especially rare this specimen of D57 plated in gold and still in excellent aesthetic conditions and perfect mechanical efficiency. Beware because it is not the usual Dupont easily available on the market but represents the first gas-powered lighter sold by the French maison in 1953. Only 290,000 were produced; try to think, after almost seventy years, how small the number of “survivors” can be and especially how many of these are still functioning… The two characteristics that differentiate it from the normal series models are the disasaled charging valve, the particular mechanism contained in the cylinder placed at the top of the ignition roller which causes the flow of the gas not to be delivered at the time of opening the hood but only at the snap of the spark. Freshman E7941, plating 20 microns, weight 105.40 grams, size 57x34x13 millimeters. Of course, the lighter has been overhauled and is therefore guaranteed to be factory original and free of defects.
